THESE SERVICES WERE RESCHEDULED DUE TO THE COVID19 RESTRICTIONS
Attending Funerals & Visitations
During the uncertainty of the current COVID-19 health crisis, we would like to offer some practical steps that you can take to protect your health and the health of others, as you pay respect to families that are grieving.
1. Please stay home if you are sick.
2. Practice good hygiene; washing hands regularly or using hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol content.
3. Cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze or cough, washing your hands immediately after.
4. CDC Guidelines strongly suggests wearing a masks, but are not required.
5. Replace handshake greetings with an elbow bump or respectful nod.
6. Be mindful of the feelings and fears of others during this time and avoid unnecessary physical contact.
We are committed to keeping clean safe facilities. Building capacity is limited to 50 people, per state requirements. We are required, by the Governor's executive order, to enforce the steps listed above.
We welcome and encourage you to pay respects to those that have passed away and their families
The Strickland Family and Staff of the Joseph A. Strickland Funeral Homes have assisted this community through hard times before. Joseph A. Strickland Funeral Home was founded in 1975, during another hard time in the history of this Great Land. During this time of financial hardship and sickness we wanted to do something to help our neighbors through these hard times. We are proud to announce that on April 1, 2020 we started the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Discount Program.
This program is designed to give back to the community by giving each family that we serve, during the next few months, a $ 700 dollar discount on their loved one’s burial or cremation expenses. This program will run until the end of 2020.
Currently all the families that we serve are being asked by State or Federal Mandate to choose services that may not be exactly what they wished for their loved one. Hopefully in the coming weeks those mandates will be lessened and we can get back to normal service options. It is our hope with so many laid off or struggling to make it day by day, that this discount will remove some of the stress when it comes time to take care of their loved one’s arrangements.
With each act of kindness that we can show, we will get through this together, “Neighbor Helping Neighbor”.
Strickland Cremation Service is proud to be Northeast Georgia's oldest and Hart County's only on-site crematory. While many funeral homes may transport your loved one to their cremation provider; we offer a professional, on-site crematory, giving you the peace of mind of your loved one never leaving our facilities.
